I visited this facility
The people at Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach seemed nice and very accommodating. They've got reasonable prices. I thought it could be a good choice. I saw both assisted living and memory care, but mainly the assisted living. They had changed it, so now it's a locked facility, which I really liked. It means nobody can just walk in the front door. You now have to be buzzed in. I think they changed that with COVID. I liked that just because it does increase safety. It makes it more difficult for people wanting to come in, but in the end, it's the safety of the residents. That to me was a big thing. The staff was great, answered all of our questions, just really nice, and knowledgeable, just really good.

We toured the Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach for my mom, and their facility was very nice and small, which was something to our liking. We decided to go with another community because it's closer to my house. The tour was good, and they were ready for us. They were very pleasant, and they explained the different rooms, the different sizes, and the different amount of care. They described that they had exercises, but unfortunately, the day that we were there touring, the person who led the exercise got caught in traffic, so she wasn't there. We talked about their menu and what they offered for meals. They said that their staff would come around and get medication for people. They're good-sized rooms with their own private baths. The building has been used for a while, so they've obviously had a lot of residents living there. They had a beautiful courtyard where you could sit. I think the surprising thing for me was that I didn't know where it was at first, because they're set back from the road over by the hospital in Fort Walton and you don't see it, which can be very good because it's very private back there. It's just when you're first going there, you have to pay attention to the directions they give you. It's not hard -- it's only a block off the main street -- but I didn't know it was even there. They did say that they were working on clearing their line of sight from the street to the building so that people could see their facility more easily.

I toured both the assisted living and memory care at Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach. It's excellent. I like them over the other place. They have a bunch of daily activities scheduled for the memory care. I like it a lot better. The rooms were nice, and the staff was nice. It was a very nice facility. I've seen the staff helping people when we're walking around, and everybody seemed to like them.

We looked at Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach. I thought it was small compared to the other places. None of the rooms we looked at were furnished, so we didn't have a really good idea of what was happening in there and how my wife would fit in there. The staff was very helpful. It looked very nice, and it was kept up well. They give you a big pamphlet, and there's exercising, walking, and they take tours.

My Mother has been a resident at Belvedere Commons for approximately 3 years. The staff has treated her respectfully, kindly and helpfully. The facilities are well maintained and they have nice amenities. The meals are good, but too much food( my Mom's words). But, the reason I am writing this review at this time is that I want to thank the director and her staff for the Herculean job they have done in keeping the building COVID-19 free. When one reads the news of the pandemic in nursing homes and assisted living across the nation, including Okaloosa County, one realizes how difficult it is to keep up with the ever changing rules, guidances and protocols to keep the residents safe. Thank you all for taking such good care of someone I love very dearly.

My father passed away on a Monday. His svc. was on Thurs. The following Monday, only one week to the day that he died, Belvedere already called me wanting to know where their check was. He had been in the hospital for several days before dying, and died in the hospital. His belonging were in the room for only three days into the new month, but they were sure concerned about those three days. Just for the record, I had already mailed the check on Sat., but they didn't give the check a chance to arrive before calling me. How disrespectful!

My sister-in-law is in the assisted living side of Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach. It is a little bit older, but very clean, very nice, and laid out simply. The staff has been excellent. My sister-in-law seems to like the food. They have all sorts of different activities. They have everything from Wii to card games. Of course, they go out to eat and to shop, and they have other community events that they can go to. They provide a wide range of activities.

This facility is chronically understaffed. As a result, your loved one is likely not going to get very good care. When staff assistance is needed, it's not unusual to wait an inordinate amount of time for help. Because they're stressed, they don't tend to be very nice people.

The people at Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach were busy, there's always something going on, and people were happy. I did not ever think of assisted living as being a happy place, but the people there seemed to really enjoy being there. I was impressed with that. That would be perfect for my dad because he's very social. The food smelled marvelous.

I went to Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach. The building and rooms were nice. It was a good place, but it was not what I was looking for. There were ladies doing crafts in the nice dining area, and they had it set up where you can get snacks. That was good. The facilities were nice I really liked the front part, but I think the memory care was scarce.

Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach was great. I met with the marvelous activities director. I liked the place a lot. It was significantly older but had a positive atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and caring toward the residents. Their food looked good. They have a nice garden area, a library, and guest entertainment almost every week come in and sing songs and dance with them.

I like that they do not lock the doors at Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach, except at night, so they can go out on the porch. I also like the care. If you miss a meal, they will take it to your room, or if you get hungry, they will fix you something. They have a little area where they can always fix themselves something, or somebody will be around to fix them something, so it is not just a regimen. The staff is wonderful. They are all very caring, very loving, very hugging, and everything. It is a few blocks away from the hospital and is kind of set back on its own, so it has its own little area from up the main street. My mom likes the food. They seem to have enough activities. They are not going to have the stuff that every other place has, but they do different activities every day. They are from all levels, and you can have some that are still independent living, some that are assisted living, and a few that need more care, but they are all together, and they seem to all care and watch out for each other. It has a great big porch with rocking chairs and a big breezeway, and 2 inner courtyards where people can go out and be outside and outdoors.

We selected Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach for my mom. The appearance is excellent, very well maintained, and clean. The decorations are pretty. The layout of the units is very attractive. They have one-bedrooms in addition to studios, which have small kitchenettes and a division between the living and sleeping area rather than being just one, large room. The staff is amazing, very hands o,n and very communicative. The dining area is very well maintained. They have a 24-hour menu and are very flexible making sure that she has the food that she likes to eat. So far, the food has been very good, and my mom enjoys it.

The staff at Belvedere Commons was extremely nice. I had a nurse who toured me around, but she was very good with answering questions I had. I knew one person who lived there, and they knocked on her door. She recognized me right away and said she hoped that I would come to live there. We were just touring what was available. The dining room was very appealing to the eye, and I was very impressed with it. The only thing that I asked about was in case of hurricanes, where you would go. I believe they said to Tampa, and I felt that was not a desirable place to go to.

We saw Belvedere Commons. I liked that the staff was very nice, and they had a cozy feel to it. It was smaller than the other one we visited, but the people would have the sense of community. It had a good proximity to a hospital, so it was a plus. It was kind of chopped away in the middle of a pretty built-up area, but they had trees all around it. So, it had the illusion of being set aside or something, although it was in the middle of everything. It was very convenient to where I worked.

Belvedere Common is a nice place. The people are really friendly, and the director really knows his staff. My dad likes it. The rooms were all nice. Dad has a suite; it's kind of one big room, and it has a bathroom and a little kitchen area. They have all the doors locked after 6 o'clock for security.

Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach was really nice and very spacious. Some of the rooms are a bit overlarge, but for your money, you're getting a nice place. The man running it is really nice; he has a lot of things going on there. He knew the people that lived and worked there. It was an awesome place, but we just couldn't afford it; it was very pricey.

My mother is in Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach. It was in relatively close running with the other two places we visited. It was just the fact that it's only a block away from the hospital. It has a pretty good staff-people relationship. The people living there love it. The dining area is like any cafeteria type style. There are three meals a day, and my mother says it's not too bad. She has been there for two weeks now. They have two nurses on duty there. They take them out for haircuts, luncheon trips, and shopping trips, and they have people come in and conduct classes. They play bingo if they want, and they have a small gym there. She got a middle sized room with a large bathroom and two large walk-in closets. I'm very impressed with them and the people that work there.

My mom stayed at Belvedere, and it was excellent. I liked everything. I liked their cleanliness, and the food was good. They had plenty of help. They had RNs, and they were wonderful. They had memory care. They had a saloon, and they did therapy.

Belvedere was fine and the staff was very nice. The rooms looked small and the bathrooms looked old, depressing and needed to be updated. The dining room is fine. They have activities, but my mom cannot participate.

Having toured several area facilities, I was impressed by the Belvedere's staff and their friendly and outgoing nature. The facility seemed a bit tidier and well maintained and is well staffed. Mark has been very courteous and informative throughout the entire process. After moving my parents into the facility, many of the staff came in and personally introduced themselves and explained what they did there. My parents, who do not get around too well, have said the food is very good and the staff has been very helpful.

The community is very nice and welcoming. Enjoyed meeting Alan and Mark. They were both very friendly, helpful and insightful and made time in their schedules to meet with me and answer questions. I was very impressed!

Belvedere Commons of Fort Walton Beach was very nice, but I wouldn't put my mom there. It was a single story and wasn't awful, but I wouldn't recommend it. Everybody looked fine and happy, and our tour guide was very sweet, caring, and knew everyone's name. The facility had a whole different layout, and they weren't dirty. The dining area was nice.
